It was a challenging day for photos as I walked throughout the Steveston Historic Village today: overcast skies spitting rain the entire time, murky waters, gunpowder grey industrial metal, wire fencing and sun-faded wooden boardwalks as far as the eye could see. Mmmmm, monochrome.

Most of these photos were taken in Vancouver’s DTES along the Hastings Street corridor heading out to East Van and back again into the downtown core.
