I’ll spare the gory details and cut straight to the chase. Mine is a classic tale: I hit middle age and began to question my existential purpose. My dreams, my ambitions, my potential as a human being looked to be rapidly closing in on me. This is my way of pushing back.
With camera in hand, I look for wrinkles and rust in the natural world. I look for passing moments that are exquisitely ordinary. I hope to capture them in ways that are unusual, unexpected and sometimes magical. I’m not a big fan of photoshop botox – although honestly it does have some merit. I’ve been developing as a photographer for several years now (cue: snare drum). It is a hobby that overtakes me not as often as it should. But here’s hoping…
